Project DetailsThis project for 16 units of low income housing in the town of Plains, Virginia, is the first multi-family Virginia Housing Development Authority (VHDA) project to use geothermal for heating and cooling.  The scale of the buildings, exterior finishes, colors and details are all in keeping with residential buildings in the historic district and received approval from the town’s historic board.  We created a design that not only fit in to the architectural fabric of the town, but also met the very stringent requirements of the VHDA.  This is an EarthCraft Certified project and is currently under construction.
