Rick Ruhf, AIA, LEED AP / Principal
Rick earned his Bachelor of Architecture from Pennsylvania State University. He spent the next 16 years working as a project manager in multiple Annapolis area firms before he opened Ruhf Plitt architects in 1999. He brings a wealth of experience in design and construction and uses these resources to navigate through every step of the project’s process.
Joel Plitt, Principal
Joel earned his Bachelor of Arts from Brooklyn College and his Masters of Architecture from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. Joel worked at larger firms in the Baltimore and Annapolis areas before partnering with Rick. He now focuses his talents primarily on residential projects where he strives to incorporate the client’s desires and develops the design around their needs. He currently serves Baltimore as a board member for The Society for the Preservation of Federal Hill and Fell’s Point and as the Chairman for the Design Review Committee for Fell’s Point.
Chuck Hawley, AIA / Principal
Chuck earned his Bachelor of Architecture degree from Temple University and began his architecture career working in Philadelphia. He joined Ruhf Plitt Architects in 2005, bringing extensive residential design and construction experience. With a strong foundation in technology, Chuck integrates the latest technology and techniques into his design process.
Kara Glynn / Project Architect
Kara earned her Bachelor of Architecture degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. She joined Ruhf Plitt Architects in 2005, bringing 9 years of architectural experience in commercial and higher education facilities.
Greg Lines / Staff Architect
Greg earned his Bachelor of Science in Architecture degree from the University of Maryland. Greg came to Ruhf Plitt Architects in 2009 after working for 2 years in Baltimore, where he focused on conceptual and master planning projects.
