Ruhf + Plitt Architects was founded in 1999 by Rick Ruhf and Joel Plitt. We have worked on residential, commercial, and institutional projects throughout the mid-Atlantic states with many in the historic and commercial areas of Annapolis, Baltimore, and several towns on Maryland's eastern shore. We have also completed many waterfront homes in Anne Arundel County.

Our main focus is good design that is responsive to our clients needs and is sensitive to and respectful of the existing fabric of the project environment, built and natural.  We pride ourselves on doing a wide range of project types and sizes. We do not have a stock design or style we try to fit into each project. We love architecture, its nuances and challenges. We take deep pride in the drawings we create to convey our designs and enjoy the relationships we build with our clients and contractors.

Our philosophy is rooted in the way we live our lives and comes through in the work we do.
